Day by day Itinerary

1

Day 1: Arrival

You will be picked up from Arusha Airport by our driver guide in the morning hours and
proceed to Tarangire National Park two and a half hours drive from Arusha.
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarangire National Park is primarily famous for the abundance of age-old baobabs
and big families of elephants gathering in the vicinity of the main water source – the
Tarangire River. Besides baby elephants and their parents, the Tarangire is home to
zebras, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, buffalos and many other predators and
ungulates.
The park will also be a treat for bird enthusiasts. More than 550 bird species abiding
in the Tarangire National Park present ample opportunity for bird watching: brightly
plumaged yellow necked spurfowls, white crowned shrikes and black necked
weavers are among the most frequent sightings here.
Lunch will be served on a picnic sight overseeing the Tarangire river.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater tour to Arusha

Today after breakfast and enjoying a nice view of the Crater from your Hotel
located at the Crater rim, leave your hotel and descend to the Crater floor. You
will enjoy a full day of game viewing at the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Called the
eighth wonder of the world, the crater won’t fail to take your breath away as
you stand on the rim looking down a 10-mile-wide crater floor with abundant
wildlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the
world covering approximately 260 sq. km's with walls rising 600 meters from
the crater floor. Before the Ngorongoro Volcano exploded and collapsed 2
million years ago the area was home of some of the tallest Mountain it is home
to more than 30,000 large mammals – mainly gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest,
and warthog – and has the highest predator density in the world. Ascend the
Crater later in the afternoon and drive back to Arusha to catch your evening flight.
